Paulina A. Parker, migrated from Ghana, West Africa to Harlem, New York in October 1979 at the age of 15. Paulina got her entrepreneurial spirit from her mother and grandmother. Paulina is motivated and inspired to dream big as a result of high expectations set forth by her father at a very young age. After graduating from Brandeis High School in June 1983, Paulina immediately landed her first 'real job' with Wilson Major Morris Community Center. Paulina entered
Bronx Community College where she majored in Business Administration / Accounting and became a member of
Phi Theta Kappa Sorority. While in college, Paulina acquired organizational skills as she pursued a career as an executive administrator for various companies including
AXA Financial, Inc. formerly known as Equitable Life Assurance. Paulina worked her way up the corporate ladder to various leadership positions in various departments including Human Resources, Public Relations and Technology. Paulina has also used her talents with non-for-profit organization such as the
Madison Square Boys and Girls Club located in the
Empire State Building New York City.
In 2004 until present, she is a Sales Representative for Hagedorn Communications, Inc. and has over the four years, branched out to other enterprises. She was soon bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and in 2008 launched her very own business
Arise Business Solutions LLC. (ABS, LLC.), named such because it reflects her commitment to economic and social justice since she was a young girl growing up with limited means. The mission of the company is to provide a clearinghouse for business people who need a wide variety of services. She has found her hitch in life and that is to assist individual who desire to get their driver’s license. She is capable of providing a full range of services in helping to navigate through the process of getting learners permit, help set up students to get their first car if they desire, and being able to coach them through the process of getting the car properly registered and insured. She is convinced that if a person wants anything in life and they are willing to work hard for it, the sky is the limit to what they can have.
ABS, LLC., Paulina’s brainchild has branched out to encompass notary services, credit restoration and enhancement, the sale of commercial and residential real estate, and the support of driving schools.
Paulina graduated from Manhattan Bible Institute and is also an active member of Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc. in Harlem. She was commissioned to do missionary work in East Germany Berlin, in 1989. She serves as a volunteer mom in her church’s Busy-Bee-Nursery and the president of the Sunday School PTA. She firmly believes God gives her special assignments that call her to reach out to people in need, sometimes visiting homes to assess the needs of those who feel overwhelmed by life’s challenges. She has a special passion for nurturing young women, providing them with spiritual guidance and pointing them toward resources for success in life.
In 2007,
Paulina and her son went on a Congressional Black Caucus Legislative tour at the White House in Washington, DC. Paulina is not only the CEO of Arise Business Solutions LLC, but a highly sought after soon to be author, national speaker, and already a life coach inspiring others to walk in wisdom, knowledge and understanding that lead into one’s destiny. Her track record of motivating others to realize their true potential has propelled her to be nominated to receive a Business Award from the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club located in the Bronx, NY in 2009.
Paulina is the proud mother of 13 year old Joseph E. Parker and currently lives in Co-op City, Bronx NY.
